New Releases – Spring Fever

42

Out this weekend are 4 new films, as we discussed in Episode 87 to more detail, here they are:

42 – Jackie Robinson was the baseball player who changed how races played sports…as well as America.  Truly a remarkable story and the film is getting generally positive reviews. And it has Harrison Ford being a cranky old man.  So Indy 5 basically.  Brian and Scott’s picks of the week.

Scary Movie 5 – Yea.  Part 5.  A spoof of horror flicks.  The 5th film in the franchise.  Generally negative reviews.  The franchise looks to be limping along and this seems to be a cash grab.  Be leery. The scariest thing in the film is Lindsay Lohan pretending to be sober.

Disconnect – Jason Bateman stars with numerous other B-level stars in a story about what happens when we rely too much on technology.  Generally positive reviews, though at 66% positive, definitely not stellar at this point.  Justin and Aaron’s picks of the week.

To the Wonder – Terrence Malick directs this romantic film of various threads, starring among others – Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem.  The film is getting poor reviews and is currently at only 41% positive.  Avoiding till video seems the way to go.

If you can’t make it to a theater, then listen to Episode 88 of The HO – JUST OUT!
