Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War Reactions Podcast

After yet another recent setback, The Avengers are under fire. The world as a whole is unhappy with how these super-powered individuals are free to exact justice any way or location they deem worthy. The governments of the globe demand oversight, and after being confronted with a casualty from his own missteps, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) agrees. Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) presents a solution: Sign off on the Sokovia Accords, which allows the United Nations to dictate when and where superheroes can interfere. Refuse to sign, and you become an enemy of the state.

Captain America (Chris Evans) does not believe this is the right solution, and plants his feet firmly in the sand of rebellion. When an act of terrorism put his best friend, Bucky Barnes – aka The Winter Soldier, in the sights of the government, Cap is forced to go on the run and fight for his right to party, like every superhero should. It all culminates in one of the most spectacular battles in any film as pages of the Marvel comic are brought vividly to life.

For this special episode, we dive head-first into the world of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War! From the heart of Queens to deep in Wakanda, we discuss every aspect of the film, including directors Joe and Anthony Russo, as well as both new and reimagined characters like Spider-Man and Black Panther.
