Hitchcock Comparisons

  • The Wrong Man
  • 39 Steps
  • Young and Innocent
  • Notorious

Albert Bassermann played Van Meer, and Martin Kosleck played the tramp in Foreign Correspondent. Miles Mander played Gordon Druce / Gordon Moore in Murder! / Mary. Walter Kingsford and Nancy Kelly appeared in episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour respectively, but none of their episodes were directed by Hitch.

Wikipedia and IMDb list the title with hyphens (Fly-By-Night) as is seen in the opening credits, but this doesn’t appear in the original poster or reviews of the time.
