I was born a poor sharecropper.  I grew up with little more than the clothes on my back, and a song in my heart.  That song, of course, was ‘Fame’, and I’m GONNA LIVE FOREVER! But I digress.  I had a tough youth, very tough.  Most of my adolescence was spent in county lock-up.  It started with the reefer, before I eventually began my downward spiral into the heroin abyss.  When I finally woke up in my own bile, with nothing around me except for a bottle of Mad Dog and a large naked, cuddler of a man named Tyrone, I knew it was time for a change.

So I headed to the big city, full of bright lights and infinite traffic jams, this is where I could make it.  Where I could realize my childhood dream.  Now, with drugs and random transi-sex in the rear view, I could finally make my mark.  So I began my Jedi training.  I did have a few missteps (apparently the ‘Force’ is not so much a well-loved religion as it is a starting point for prosecution), but I finally have mastered the ways of Big D.  Now that I can flick my lightsaber at will and stop girls in their tracks prior to the escape, I can finally turn my focus to my other love – Entertainment.

Video games are my first love, because I have the attention span of a fruit fly.  Some people claim this, but rarely do you see anyone with my level of obliviousness.  I mean in all sincerity, when you first hear my na…SQUIRREL!  Wait, where was I? I have no idea.  Well I love video games.  Especially when my wife is talking to me, then I love them even more.  I often drift away to the world of mushrooms, dangerous sucking pipes and a land full of orc’s…when my wife starts talking.  It’s who I am.  It’s what I’m about.

Because I’m Scott Clark, DAMMIT!

PS – and I like Inception too.

Ok, in all seriousness: I’m often referred to as the ‘Everyman’ of the group, as I was raised to escape not through film or TV, but through video games, therefore I approach the podcast and reviews just as I perceive most of you do. A Host on The Hollywood Outsider since 2011, I have also recently begun a podcast dedicated to my favorite hobby, gaming. Please check it out at The Gaming Outsider.
